Cala di Volpe - Wandering for love

Summer 2019, I wanted to end up in Sardinia Italy. I never been so I asked around and did a lot of research and decided to stay in Cala di Volpe, which I had no idea that this is the best of the best in the island.

It was in the luxury category but to be honest, the room doesn’t look like Ritz or other luxury hotels but since it has a private beach and I go alone, I decided that this is probably the best for me.

Arrived in the middle of the night, check-in to the room that has recently upgraded as told. Next week, there is a boat that drives to the private beach. Then I met Anne & Alex who are the couple been coming back to this hotel every year for more than 12 years. Then I realized that this is the hotel this history. Many celebrities had come, many fancy parties and it’s known to have the one of the best services in the world. Sometimes it’s good to travel alone. So that I meet new people.

The Hotel

I really fell deeply in love with the hotel. The simple design was the beauty of the hotel. The architecture of the building is very unique in Sardinia. The color pink is very photogenic. Later I found that “volpe” means fox so you see the fox logo everywhere and it was cute.

It’s located in Costa Smeralda which is an area for the rich to come. (not for me, but I like to learn how they live)

The Room

As for the room, it’s simple. I love lying at the couch and having breakfast at the balcony.

The View

The most magnificent was the sunrise from the room. My balcony was facing the east. One day I woke up around 6am and it was the most beautiful sunrise I ever seen in my life.

My 4 days trip at this hotel was unforgettable. Alex and Anna were very nice to me and always reserve me a dinner table close to them so I won’t be so alone. They introduced me to all the staffs in the hotel. I also met other people that comes back every year for vacation. I decided to join this Cala Club and will definitely be back next year.
