Top places you must go before you die

Life is short, and the world is big, you really need to go see if before you die because you really don’t know when you die. There are a lot of places I had been when I am depressed but really, I forgot that I was depressed. I was happy that I was alive to see them.

Here are the list:

  • Tel Aviv, Israel
  • Amalfi, Italy
  • Santorini, Greece
  • Sardinia, Italy
  • Paris
  • Kyoto, Japan

Tel Aviv, Israel

Yes, you heard me right, Tel Aviv Israel. People who knows me knows that I know Israel quite well. I had been going there in the past 10+ years and it’s something very special in this place that I fell in love in. Everyone heard about the war and most people worry about the situation, but once you are there, you know that it’s the holy land. It’s beautiful, it’s blessed.

First, the weather, it’s always great weather there. You are very close to the beach, most places are walking distance from center. Second, you will love the food. Most people I took them were surprised how good the food is. It’s always a “WOW”, with the quality, the presentation and the atmosphere. I think there are more stylish cafes restaurants then in Tokyo. Then there is the super friendly culture. I can write a book about Tel Aviv.

Positano, Amalfi Coast, Italy

It’s definitely one of the most beautiful place in the world. The hotels usually located in the middle of the hill. I stayed in the Villa Boheme, a celeb favorite and the famous Le Sirenuse. Both had the beautiful view of the coast.

The sky + sea + the houses on the hills = a perfect postcard picture.

Waking up seeing this view or in the sunset time were both magical for me. Definitely a place that I want to go back. By the way, the Capri Island nearby access by ferry is also a-must!

Santorini, Greece

If you like sunset, this is the best in the world. Or maybe one of the best. It’s serene. Color is not so strong and feels very dreamy. No wonder it’s one of the most romantic places and there are many couples choose to propose or have honeymoon here. The white little houses are very photogenic. I will say you have to come here to see once in your lifetime.

New York

I wrote New York for others to see. I grew up in New York. It’s not really on my list but I think everyone should have been to New York once. It has the energy that you can’t find it anywhere in the world. I didn’t know it until I left New York for Japan and returned and finally felt it.

Sardinia, Italy

It has a long history that the rich & famous have been coming to Sardinia for vacation. I had visited and understood why. It’s just simply beautiful with class & style. Wealthy people who had been to the best in the world and still choose to come back here every single year, it must have its reason.

Cala di Volpe, Sardinia

The beach is meant to be a place to relax. The water is turquoise blue and super clear. Just lying on the beach and feeling the air makes you feel like you don’t need anything else in life.

Paris, France

How can one not been to Paris? It’s the most romantic place on earth. Even you don’t have someone, you will fall in love with the city.

Kyoto, Japan

The most unique place in Asia. It’s hard to explain how much I like this place. I had been there more than probably 20 times but I still like it a lot. The most beautiful is when the sakura blooms or the red leaves are all over the town. The scenery is more than a postcard you can imagine. I guess it’s just “zen” feeling that is so special of this place.
